David Songulashvili: “Comprehensive and fundamental reforms are underway in both environmental protection and agriculture to address modern challenges.”

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, spoke about the current reforms and projects within the Ministry, emphasizing that the Ministry's core mission is to deliver effective, rapid, and adaptable solutions to today’s evolving environmental and agricultural challenges.

“It is important that our Ministry responds to the contemporary demands and challenges that are changing very rapidly in today’s world. This is precisely why the Ministry must remain flexible and capable of making decisions efficiently. As you know, our Ministry delivers a wide range of services in various forms; therefore, the speed of decision-making and accessibility for the population are of particular importance,” Mr. David Songulashvili stated.

According to the Minister, the reforms currently underway in the structural direction aim to make decision-making processes and service delivery even more effective.

“Comprehensive and fundamental reforms are underway in both environmental protection and agriculture to address modern challenges. In agriculture, our main objective is for Georgian products to be directly associated with quality. In this process, environmental protection is not separate, as safeguarding the environment is crucial for producing high-quality agricultural products. We are committed to ensuring that Georgian products become synonymous with quality,” Minister Songulashvili stated.
