State support has brought 59 new business ideas to life in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti under the "Promotion of Entrepreneur Activity in Mountainous Regions" program


The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, accompanied by the State Representative of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, Mr. Papuna Margvelidze, visited a hotel in the village of Chrebalo, Ambrolauri Municipality, established through funding from a state program.

 

The hotel Askrioni was established in 2023 with GEL 100,000 from the "Promotion of Entrepreneur Activity  in Mountainous Regions" program, offering 7 rooms for up to 20 guests.

The Rural Development Agency has co-financed 146 business ideas with GEL 11.8 million nationwide, including 59 initiatives in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, where 38 family guesthouses have received GEL 2.8 million.
 

In the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, 59 business ideas have received a total of GEL 4.4 million in co-financing, including 38 family-run guesthouses, through financial support of GEL 2.8 million.


The program aims to support the development of the private sector and the creation of new jobs in mountainous settlements through co-financing, including stimulating youth entrepreneurship and economic activity.
