Average Export Price of Hazelnuts Increased by 39% in August–September 2025

From August 1 to September 28, 2025, Georgia exported 2.9 thousand tonnes of hazelnuts with a total value of USD 24.7 million. Compared to the same period last year, the export value increased by 36%, USD 6.6 million.

During this period, the average export price of hazelnuts was USD 8.46 per kilogram, which is 39% higher than in the same timeframe of the previous year.

 The European Union remains the primary export market. The largest volume of hazelnuts was exported to Italy, totaling 1.0 thousand tonnes. Other key EU markets include Germany (302.1 tonnes), Spain (197.0 tonnes), and the Czech Republic (119.4 tonnes). 

Beyond the EU, Georgian hazelnuts were also exported to Armenia (119.7 tonnes), Russia (117.5 tonnes), Turkey (111.2 tonnes), and other markets.
