David Songulashvili: "Hungary’s Steadfast Support for Georgia’s European Integration was Reaffirmed During the Meetings ".
During the official visit to Hungary, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. David Songulashvili, met with the Hungarian Minister of Agriculture, Mr István Nagy, and the Minister of Energy, Mr. Csaba Lantos. Discussions focused on deepening future cooperation between the two countries.
While summarizing the visit, Minister Songulashvili underlined Hungary’s steadfast support for Georgia’s European integration path.
''The meetings -held as part of the official visit, reaffirmed Hungary’s strong support for Georgia’s European integration process. Hungary’s experience and the path toward integration with Europe are invaluable, and we must make the most of this knowledge. Discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening sectoral cooperation, including expanding the export potential of Georgian agri-food products to the EU market. We also highlighted the importance of enhancing the overall relationship between our two countries. The Hungarian side pledged its strong support in advancing trade relations and facilitating Georgia’s European integration efforts," stated Minister Songulashvili.
The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, Deputy Minister, Mr. Lasha Dolidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Hungary, Mrs. Tamar Liluashvili, and Director of the Rural Development Agency, Mrs. Giorgi Darchia, attended the meetings.
